Privacy Policy

MoroccanTan Discounts (“the App”) is provided by Vyte. The App is a Shopify Functions and admin UI extension that calculates cart and delivery discounts inside the merchant’s Shopify store.

How the App Processes Data

The App runs entirely on Shopify infrastructure as Shopify Functions and Shopify UI Extensions. Vyte does not operate a backend server that stores merchant or customer data for this App. The public website at this domain serves only static informational pages.

Information the App Accesses

Within the Shopify runtime, the App reads only the information required to calculate discounts:

• Product, variant, and collection identifiers in the cart
• Cart line quantities and line subtotal amounts
• Delivery group identifiers
• The merchant’s discount configuration stored as a Shopify metafield

The App’s declared access scopes are read_products, read_shipping, and write_discounts. The App does not request, access, or process customer personal information such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, billing or shipping addresses, payment details, customer accounts, or order history.

How Information Is Used

The accessed information is used solely to:

• Determine which cart lines and delivery groups qualify for a discount
• Generate cart, order, and shipping discount operations
• Apply the merchant’s configured discount rules at checkout

Data Storage and Retention

The App does not store cart, customer, or order data on any Vyte-operated system. Discount configuration set by the merchant is stored as a Shopify metafield inside the merchant’s Shopify store and is controlled by the merchant. Cart data accessed at runtime is processed in-memory by the Shopify Function and is not retained by the App.

Data Sharing

We do not sell merchant or customer data.

Because the App does not collect or store personal data, no personal data is shared with third parties by the App. The public website is served via Cloudflare and a Vyte-operated hosting provider strictly for delivering these static pages over HTTPS.

Security

The App relies on Shopify’s platform security controls for all merchant and customer data. The public website uses HTTPS via Cloudflare and does not collect form input, cookies, or tracking identifiers.

Shopify Mandatory Privacy Webhooks

As an extension-only Shopify app, the App does not store merchant or customer personal data outside Shopify. Where Shopify provides the customers/data_request, customers/redact, and shop/redact mandatory webhooks, Vyte’s response is that there is no off-Shopify data to return or redact for this App.

Your Rights

Merchants and customers covered by privacy laws such as the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and similar frameworks have rights including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, and data portability for their personal data. Because the App does not hold personal data outside Shopify, such requests should be directed to the merchant operating the Shopify store, or to Shopify, as the controllers of that data. Requests may also be sent to Vyte using the contact details below and Vyte will confirm in writing if any data is held.

Children’s Data

The App is not directed to children and does not knowingly process personal data of children.

Changes to This Policy

Vyte may update this policy from time to time. When changes are made, the “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be revised. Material changes will be communicated to merchants via the App’s listing or by email where appropriate.
